Podcast, spoilers, Christie and us – number 3: Roger Ackroyd

Agatha Christie podcast time!

For the third time, three of us Golden Age detective fans have got together to discuss an Agatha Christie in full, spoiler-heavy detail.

JJ at the Invisible Event (top right above) has been organizing us into the series called Spoiler Warning (part of his In GAD We Trust series): and this time it is Christie's

The Murder of Roger Ackroyd

her 1926 tour de force.

Brad Friedman of Aah Sweet Mystery, and JJ and I talk about the book

and you can hear us here

and  - yes, there is no stopping us - then you can vote on which Agatha Christie book we should talk about next.

You can find my blogposts on the first two podcasts, with links to Invisible Event, here:

The Mysterious Affair at Styles

The Murder at the Vicarage

There are posts on Agatha Christie all over the blog – see this tab here – and specifically  there is one on The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, with a bit more emphasis on the clothes.

  1. What a great choice to discuss, Moira!! Real brilliance, as you know, in the plotting, and lots to talk about there. Thank you for sharing this podcast. You three are the perfect people to discuss Christie.

    1. Thank you for those kind words Margot! It was great fun to do -and a good excuse to re-read a stone-cold classic.

  2. I love your top image showing all of you on the screen with your books. And of course you have the paperback with a Tom Adams cover, and I am very envious.

Fortunately I have recently reread The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, after many many years, so I won't mind any spoilers when I listen to the podcast. Of course, I could not avoid knowing the ending of the book, but I had forgotten everything else, so it was a wonderful reading experience.

    1. There is so much in it, isn't there? And I love that people are still reading her books with such enthusiasm after all this time. Look forward to doing more podcasts on her books.
