I haven't looked at this entry for a long time, and am rather pleased with the picture I found - good grumpy face for Mary!Clothes In Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14680610242823846662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6129427507761315524.post-28333969330665736012019-03-26T19:10:20.701+00:002019-03-26T19:10:20.701+00:00I can't decide whether I like this or A Little...I can't decide whether I like this or A Little Princess best- both of them are wonderful. Mary is enjoyable as a heroine who doesn't end up becoming a perfect little saint- the only reason Colin has a breakthrough in his behavior is because Mary chews him out for being terrible. Nobody else had the nerve to tell him he was a brat, but Mary, less than delightful herself, can nonetheless see how awful Colin is and she has no problems saying it. And I have to say, I prefer unlikeable Mary to the unspeakably cloying Little Lord Fauntleroy, and even to perfect Marco from The Lost Prince.Auroranoreply@blogger.com
