I'll take your word on this one, but I have to admit I really didn't like "The Golden Spaniard." I read about the first 20 pages, flipped to near the end and read the last 20 or 30 pages. It was enough. Also enough to have guessed the surprise ending of the book...it seemed obvious to me even with as little as I read. I just couldn't get into reading glorification of Fascists -- no matter how silly.
