Sarah Caudwell was so good at it.Clothes In Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14680610242823846662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6129427507761315524.post-33703924083905516542013-11-12T17:09:15.222+00:002013-11-12T17:09:15.222+00:00I liked this one very much, but I can see it might...I liked this one very much, but I can see it might not be to everyone's taste, the crime element is not terribly serious. I liked it because had an extreme version of Sarah-Caudwell-ness!Clothes In Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14680610242823846662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6129427507761315524.post-1590102344088026922013-11-12T15:23:54.333+00:002013-11-12T15:23:54.333+00:00Moira - Oh, I do like this series! And I do like the way Caudwell succeeds at giving traditional detective stories a modern context. That's not easy to pull off. And yes, the unwary reader is tripped up; Caudwell's quite good at 'sneaking up on one' if I can put it that way.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6129427507761315524.post-39006330927320031092013-11-12T13:34:53.865+00:002013-11-12T13:34:53.865+00:00I never actually got the fourth book in her series...I never actually got the fourth book in her series, I stopped at no.3. You may beg to differ, but from the reviews I read on Amazon and around this one wasn't as well received as the others.
